How can an SLP help?
Breast & Bottle
Support can be for infants and young children who are having difficulty feeding at the breast or bottle. This may include concerns such as inefficient feeds, stress during feeding, difficulty latching, frequent breaks, or feeding that feels exhausting or overwhelming. The focus is on helping to make feeding your baby feel safer, more comfortable and more manageable day to day.
Eating & Drinking
Support is also available for young children who are learning to eat and drink safely and comfortably. This may include challenges with transitions to solids, advancing textures, using cups, or with strategies to make meals feel less stressful or difficult. The focus is on building feeding skills in a developmentally appropriate way while reducing stress around meals.
